Great find on the app store. As you know, we have been using grids in our classes for years. [Accuview], a free app for droid and iphones is the basic tool we need for getting proportions. I have been using this app and it is great. Any questions about how I use this cool app? Leave a comment with your email, I will be happy to answer any questions.
Here is what is does as listed from the Apple App Store . Take a photo of desired subject.
  • Choose the window opening to match your canvas
  • Choose a grid or no grid at all.
  • Using 2 finger method, enlarge, shrink, rotate and move your photo for desired compositional effect.
  • Alter size relationships, change grids or change value of frame. Convert photo to B/W and use the adjustable Value Scale for in-depth study.

A friend of my wife, her name is Cheryl, emailed a photo of a high heel shoe. One shoe, and got my attention as a unique subject.
